This is what the data looks like from the Laser Tracker that Dirk used to measure the engine mount. Graham is working on overlaying the data onto the CAD drawing of the engine and then using it to draw the engine mount tubes.

MT Reversing Propeller for the Sealand Beaver

The Prop is on order!

We’re putting a 98.5 inch 4 blade MT reversing propeller on the TRACE Engine installation.

These props are significantly quieter and almost vibration free.  The props are made in Germany. Vibration analysis will be completed at the TRACE facilities in Midland Texas.

The MT Propeller features an unlimited blade life.  The blades can be repaired and have stainless steel leading edges for erosion protection.

TRACE Engine Mount Measuring

Viking Air helped us out by using their Laser Tracker to accurately measure the engine mount to firewall installation.  It took just over an hour to measure 29,000 points.  A big thanks to Viking Air!

The TRACE engine mount has been changed, and it looks like we’ve got the final configuration.  Our draftsman has been creating preliminary drawings.
